Storymaker is a creative independent production company dedicated to telling great stories through bold ideas. It is headed by producer/director Rachel Currie who has been creating unique high-end factual programming for over two decades. She has produced content for broadcasters including BBC, Channel Four,  ITV and TVNZ. Her Channel4 documentary about disability won three Royal Television Society awards.

Storymaker kicked off with a commission to create How Not to Get Cancer – a series of four prime-time documentaries for TVNZ, followed by Unbreakable – a seven-part series about people with disabilities.

We are now in production on Project Brave, a 3-part sci-fi docudrama for Prime.

Rachel is a former journalist who knows how to dig deep into research and craft both words and pictures, to create engaging, emotive and effective content.
